Chair Yoga

 

Join us for this fun new class at GateWay, taught by veteran teacher, Sherry Evans!

This versatile, safe and effective form of yoga is a fun alternative to yoga on the mat. You will practice while seated in the chair or standing behind it. The class features: 

  • Gentle movements that target all parts of the body.
  • Practice while seated in the chair or standing behind it.
  • Mindful prompts & modifications offered so students can work at their own pace.
  • Improve flexibility, range of motion, strength, stamina and peace of mind.
  • Ideal for people concerned with balance or recovering from an injury or surgery.
  • No yoga experience required.

Instructor Sherry Evans

Sherry Evans has been teaching yoga for over 10 years in studios, nursing homes, senior centers, and corporate and private settings. A senior herself, Sherry blends traditional yoga poses with thoughtful modifications for the senior body. Embracing an adventurous spirit, she encouages of her students to move within their abilities, breathe deeply and have fun! 

Mondays, 10:30-11:20am.  In-studio and Online.
